Enodo helps people understand contracts before they sign them. We build tools that turn dense legal documents into clear, structured reviews — so you can see the risks and obligations that matter to you, without needing to wade through every clause yourself.

Who we are

We are a small technology company based in the United Kingdom, focused on making contract review more accessible.

The idea came from one of our co-founders, who had spent years analysing contracts in the public sector. He saw how much time that work took — and how much of it could be helped along if AI were applied carefully, kept easy to use, and priced so that smaller organisations could actually afford it.

Our other co-founders, two experienced engineers, set to work and a year later we had a beautifully intuitive but powerful tool, ready to serve customers.

What we do

Our service, Enodo Contract Analysis, lets you upload a contract, describe your situation in a few words, and receive a structured first-pass review. That includes a summary of the document, the risks that stand out for your position, and the obligations you need to be aware of.

Our approach

Contracts are written for lawyers; most people who sign them are not. We believe clearer information earlier in the process leads to better conversations, fewer surprises, and more confident decisions.

• Clarity over jargon. Findings should be readable by someone who is not a legal specialist.
• Context matters. The same clause can mean very different things depending on who you are and how much negotiating room you have. Our analysis is shaped by the situation you describe.
• Honest about limits. Artificial intelligence can miss things or get them wrong. We say so plainly, and we encourage you to verify anything important before you rely on it.
• Data protection is not an afterthought. Contracts are confidential. We do not train our models on the contracts you upload, and we do not sell customer data to third parties. We also ensure that our third party providers are located in the UK/EEA or have an adequate data transfer agreement if not. You can read how we handle personal data in our Data Processing Agreement.

Who we serve

Enodo is for individuals and organisations who need a clearer view of a contract before they commit — including freelancers, small businesses, and teams that review agreements regularly but do not always have a lawyer on hand for a first look. We built it to be affordable for smaller organisations, not only for those that already have a legal department.
